Troubles in Paradise #3

Hi Patrick,

just heard back from WellPet that they are not going to be selecting you for their open helpdesk role.  The reason cited was that Rainer thought you were “lacking enthusiasm and passion for working at WellPet” specifically.  He said that you both connected well when talking about music, but the rest of the interview felt a bit flat.  The rest of the team (Keelyn, Joe, etc.) thought you could be a great fit, but Rainer has the final say in terms of hiring decisions.

Going forward I am still comfortable putting you in front of our clients, so I’ll get my team searching for other roles for you to consider ASAP.  Is there anything else I can do to help prepare you for future interviews?

Let me know if you have any questions or want to discuss further.

Drunk Telepathy

I swear some people can tell even I'm drunk from miles and miles and states away.

I won't post or text or call or advertise or message or reach out in any way. I won't even be talking to them at the time and most times I haven't spoken to them in days or weeks. But there they are, weeks on, reaching out as I get drunk. As if they can feel it.

It sounds silly but I know people with this very talent and it's scary. It seems the only time they do reach out are in those moments when I'm most venerable. It doesn't make them good people, and I don't have to respond, but I do see their talent.

      They're sill fuckers.

So

Do you question when someone says, "Jesus, you scared the living shit out of me." ???

   Let's analyze...

First, Jesus, let's not use the Lord's name in vane. It's offensive and overused. It's so 1999.

Second. Can someone really scare the shit out of someone? Probably, but...did they? Probably not, so WHY THE FUCK DID YOU SAY IT?!?!?!

Third. Why does the shit have to be living. Is it living shit? Is it ACTUALLY living, breathing, existing human fecal matter? Is,it ALIVEEE???

Has it physically left your body?

But what do I know. Don't mind me.

Late

I had an interviewer ask me if I would show up on time. I said yes of course. But what I really felt like saying was, "I was out in the parking lot 45 minutes ago at our originally scheduled time, waiting for your ass at 1 when you had your assistant call to say you'd be late. Where were you motherfucker?"

Late. What a fucking asshat question.

Art 1

Sometimes I feel like crap because I've accomplished nothing. I spend half the day in bed and don't do too much. So I think. Even if I write my ass off and get a song down, or rather half of one. Or simply have a cool idea that would BE a song. I still feel unaccomplished.

One of the feelings I hate the most is feeling like I my day/Time/hours etc. If I sleep until 11 or noon or later, and I need or want to get something done, I get frantic sometimes. I need to accomplish something, write something. Do something. Anything. Read, finish a show, get some work done. Mostly it's personal work. Which is where this is leading to.

Even if I do accomplish something art related, it feels like I did nothing. There's nothing to show for it. Just a recording. Space on a hard drive. I can post it. I do. But I still don't feel it's enough. The other part of me comes out and says,"DO MORE! Do something more tangible! But it's all I can do most times.
